Κατασκευή και λειτουργία του Έργου «Blue Submarine Cable System (Blue SCS)»

Η εταιρεία Primetel PLC σας προσκαλεί σε Δημόσια Παρουσίαση αναφορικά με το Έργο Blue Submarine Cable System (Blue SCS), την Δευτέρα 29 Ιανουαρίου 2024 και ώρα 6:00 μμ στο Δημοτικό Μέγαρο Δήμου Γεροσκήπου (Κεντρική Πλατεία Δήμου).
Το έργο Blue Submarine Cable System (Blue SCS) αφορά υποθαλάσσιο καλώδιο επικοινωνιών οπτικών ινών που θα συνδέει τη Γαλλία με το Ισραήλ και θα έχει σύνδεση με την Ιταλία, την Ελλάδα και την Κύπρο. Η Primetel PLC είναι ο φορέας υλοποίησης του έργου και ο φορέας εκμετάλλευσης στην Κύπρο.
Σκοπός του έργου είναι η παροχή υπηρεσιών διαδικτύου υψηλής ταχύτητας και χωρητικότητας τελευταίας τεχνολογίας σε παρόχους υπηρεσιών διαδικτύου, μεταφορείς, τηλεπικοινωνιακούς παρόχους, παρόχους περιεχομένου, επιχειρήσεις και ιδρύματα. Το σημείο προσγείωσης στην Κύπρo είναι στη Δημοτική Παραλία Γεροσκήπου, πλησίον του Cabana Beach Bar, όπου υπάρχει υφιστάμενο φρεάτιο της Primetel και άλλες υπάρχουσες τηλεπικοινωνιακές υποδομές.
Πρόθεση της Δημόσιας Παρουσίασης είναι να παρατεθούν γενικές πληροφορίες για το έργο, να αναφερθούν τα κυριότερα περιβαλλοντικά ζητήματα που προκύπτουν από αυτό και να δοθεί η ευκαιρία στο κοινό να υποβάλει σχόλια και απόψεις.
Στα πλαίσια αξιολόγησης του Έργου έχει ετοιμαστεί επίσης σχετική προκαταρτική Μελέτη Εκτίμησης Επιπτώσεων στο Περιβάλλον (ΜΕΕΠ). Από τις 29 Ιανουαρίου 2024, η ΜΕΕΠ θα είναι αναρτημένη στις ιστοσελίδες www.alaplanning.com, www.primetel.com.cy, www.geroskipou.org.cy ενώ έντυπο αντίγραφο της θα βρίσκεται στον Δήμο Γεροσκήπου. Στον ίδιο χώρο θα βρίσκεται επίσης κουτί εισηγήσεων, όπου θα δίδεται το δικαίωμα και η δυνατότητα στον κάθε ενδιαφερόμενο να εκφράσει απόψεις, εισηγήσεις ή/και παράπονα σχετικά με το προτεινόμενο Έργο και την ΜΕΕΠ.
Οποιοδήποτε πρόσωπο μπορεί να υποβάλει σχόλια και απόψεις αναφορικά με το περιεχόμενο της Μελέτης ή τις επιπτώσεις που ενδέχεται να επιφέρει το Έργο, στο χώρο που αναφέρεται πιο πάνω ή στην ηλεκτρονική διεύθυνση: info@alaplanning.com. Σχόλια μπορούν να υποβληθούν μέχρι τις 7 Φεβρουαρίου 2024.

Construction and operation of the “Blue Submarine Cable System (Blue SCS)” Project

Primetel PLC invites you to a Public Presentation for the Blue Submarine Cable System (Blue SCS) Project, on 29 January 2024 at 6:00 pm at Geroskipou County Hall (Geroskipou Central Square).
The Blue Submarine Cable System (Blue SCS) Project is a subsea fibre-optic communications cable which will connect France to Israel with connection to Italy, Greece and Cyprus. Primetel PLC is the project proponent and operator in Cyprus.
The purpose of this Project is to provide high-speed Internet and state-of-the-art capacity services to Internet Service Providers, Carriers, Telecom Operators, Content Providers, Enterprises, and Institutions. The landing point in Cyprus is at Geroskipou Municipal Beach, near Cabana Beach Bar, where there is an existing Primetel telecommunications manhole and other existing telecommunications infrastructure.
The intention of the Public Presentation is to provide general information about the project, to highlight the main environmental considerations arising from the project and to give the public the opportunity to provide comments and opinions.
Within the context of the project evaluation, a draft Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has also been prepared. From the 29 January 2024, the EIA can be found on the websites www.alaplanning.com, www.primetel.com.cy, www.geroskipou.org.cy and a hard copy of the study is available at the Municipality of Geroskipou for review. A suggestion box will also located at the same site, where any interested party will have the right and opportunity to express opinions, suggestions and/or complaints regarding the proposed project and the EIA.
Any person may submit comments and opinions regarding the contents of the Study or the impacts that the Project may cause, at the space indicated above or at the following email address: info@alaplanning.com. Comments and opinions must be submitted by the close of business day on 7 February 2024.
